admissions process

If you haven't done this already, you should Schedule Your Interest Meeting. During this virtual google meets meeting with our Founder, Jimmy Arispe, you will share everything you can about your son/daughter and their needs. Also, Jimmy will provide you with a ton of information about our amazing virtual high school, how it could help your child, and what a typical day would look like for him/her. 

Plan on spending 30-45 minutes with him for this meeting. At the end of this meeting, Jimmy will give you his honest assessment if our school is the best option for your child and if you should submit an Admissions Application. He may also request to meet individually with your high schooler.

Gather as much information and documents you can about your high schooler. This includes authentic work samples, recent psych reports, IEPs, but not public school report cards. These are not very useful to us. Please do not send as much information as you see in the picture above :)))

Our ultimate goal through this process is we want to make sure your child can thrive and be successful in our school. The more information you can provide the easier we are able to determine this.

 There are 2 parts to the Online Admissions Application, one for the parent to complete and the other for the student to complete. Click the Apply Now button below. You will need to have all of the information and documents you collected prior available to upload during this process.

There is no Admissions Testing during our Admissions process. We will assess your high schooler once they are accepted into our school. We do not have a test that students must take and/or pass in order to be accepted into our school.

There is a $100 Application fee at the end of this application.

 There is nothing for you to do during this step. This is all on us. We will review your high schooler's application and reach back out to you if we have any questions. 

Your high schooler's application goes directly to our Founding Teachers to review and determine if we are the best school for him/her. A decision rarely takes more than 48 hours and most receive notification directly from our Founder within 24 hours.

If the decision is "your high schooler is accepted into The Academy HS" then we will issue the contract and square invoice for the initial tuition payment. If not, then we will notify you of our decision.
